Girl Filmed on the Way to School: What It Does at the Roadside Touches Everyone!

When Mayane looks out the window on this rainy afternoon, she doesn't expect to capture such a touching video. On the other side of the street, she discovers a girl whose actions prompt Mayane to immediately grab her phone.

Selfless act of a child

Between April and May, it rains almost every day in Brazil. The video shows a girl with an open umbrella. She carries a backpack and walks along a busy street on her way back from school.

Then the child notices a dog lying on the sidewalk - and spontaneously holds her umbrella over the animal to protect it from the wetness.

The dog must have been shivering from the cold because the girl even takes off her jacket and wraps it around the dog. Then the little girl bends down, takes the canine in her arms, and walks away with it.

Mayane is speechless - such an act of selfless kindness doesn't happen every day.

Who is the girl?

The editorial team of The Dodo searched for the girl - and actually succeeded. The 12-year-old Cibely had decided to take the soaking wet dog with her as it was injured. Apparently, it had been hit by one of the vehicles on the busy street just before meeting the girl.

What luck that Cibely was on her way home from school and happened to pass by here!

Fortunately, the injuries were only superficial, and the female dog was not seriously hurt. The wounds healed quite quickly for Pretinha, as the furry friend is now called, because she was allowed to stay with Cibely and her family.
