He had thought he had found the woman of his dreams, but instead he had been deceived and manipulated. She had taken advantage of him and he wouldn’t stand for it. He would take the time to heal and learn from his mistakes. He would focus on himself and his own happiness. He would make sure he was never taken advantage of again. He would make sure he never found himself in a situation like that again. He would be more careful and more mindful of the people he let into his life.

He took the wedding ring, flung it into the crowd, and rushed down from the stage, leaving Layla, still very weak, in the care of her family. He never wanted to see her again.
