Dog Rescued and Reunited with Former Foster Parent

In St. Louis, Missouri, the dedicated team at Stray Rescue goes above and beyond to rescue animals in need. In early March, their compassion led them to a heartwarming encounter with a dog tied to a tree near their office. The dog, a pit bull mix, stood alone, seeking help from the passersby.

Upon approaching the dog, later named Professor Plum, the shelter staff noted his hopeful expression that seemed to say, "Oh, thank God, yes, here, come and help me! I’m all alone!" Professor Plum's gratitude was palpable as he eagerly embraced his rescuers, showering them with kisses and tail wags.

Transported to the shelter for a thorough examination, Professor Plum's luck took an unexpected turn as he was placed in a foster home on the same day. To everyone's surprise, his foster parent turned out to be an American woman named Barb Kumar, who had previously fostered Professor Plum and his sister when they were just 10 weeks old.

Now at 16 months old, Professor Plum recognized Kumar immediately and greeted her with affectionate kisses. He settled into her home alongside her other adopted pets, where he is thriving under her care. Kumar is confident that Professor Plum's journey is far from over and believes that he will find a forever family deserving of his remarkable personality.
