These Speed Camera Photos are Worth Every Penny
Speed Camera Photos as Unexpected Surprises
Hitting the accelerator without much thought can cost you dearly. Suddenly, you get caught by a speed camera, and it's truly annoying. Then you wait for weeks for the hefty fine, until you forget about the incident.
Just when you stop thinking about it, a letter arrives, and you get frustrated all over again. However, speed camera photos can be a fun surprise! These speed camera photos were definitely worth every penny!
Group Photo
As mentioned before, we often don't even consider the possibility of getting caught by a radar device! But sometimes, it's even intentional. This group of young men seems to have purposefully driven into the radar trap.
They decided to take a unique group photo at night, but it was probably an expensive one too. The next image proves that speed cameras don't only monitor human speed!
Parrot Caught by the Camera
A speed camera is programmed to take a photo when a certain speed is exceeded. However, it can't control what object, vehicle, or even flying object gets captured. This is evident in this photo.
Birds of all kinds seem to have a closer connection with speed cameras, as this one captured the nocturnal outing of this feathered traveler. Once again, an animal sneaks into the picture and adds a peculiar touch.
Betting on the Right Horse
In this speed camera photo, luck was on the side of the driver in the background. The horse casually being led along the roadside was certainly not going at the stated 59 km/h.
It seems the horse saved the driver from a fine. On the other hand, the size of the vehicle does not seem to be decisive in landing on a speed camera photo, as shown in the next image.
70 km/h Toy Car Caught by the Camera
Once again, an object has sneaked in that was not meant to be captured. It's impressive that this small toy car managed to exceed the maximum speed. But it seems that it was enough to be caught by the camera.
However, it's doubtful that a fine could be issued for this tiny vehicle. The next road user was surprisingly saved.
Taken Under the Wing
Once again, an animal has managed to appear in a speed camera photo, this time a seagull in flight. However, this time the bird was not going too fast. On the contrary, it provided a friendly service to the driver behind it in the picture.
Its wings covered the car's license plate, potentially saving the driver from a fine. But why rely on others when you can help yourself?
A Matter of Practice
There is indeed a good reason to attend yoga training. Some people know how to help themselves, just like the motorcyclist who was captured by the speed camera one evening.
In the right seating position, the license plate is no longer visible. From now on, yoga is on the agenda! However, the next "driver" seems to have gone a little overboard with the speed.
Slightly Exceeding the Limit
Probably, this "driver" was also slightly exceeding the limit, although the license plate is, of course, missing. What could be the fine for such a speed? The pilot's surprised expression, on the other hand, is simply priceless.
Surprising objects caught in speed camera photos surely amuse the responsible authorities! Interestingly, it seems that interesting speeds for a speed camera can be achieved in any type of vehicle, as shown in the next photo.
Training Until the Speed Camera Photo
Gasping for breath and giving it his last ounce of strength, this cyclist has given it his all! He managed to be captured by the radar at over 40 km/h. However, this was probably a coincidence, as he certainly would have smiled for the camera otherwise.
There's probably no stopping him in the next race! Of course, one wonders about the reason for the hurry. Perhaps he's late for work or has to attend a cyclist meeting. But he's not the only one...
Super-Fast Cyclists
Speed camera photos with cyclists seem to happen frequently. However, these two cyclists probably planned it, as they look directly into the camera. They're going faster than you can imagine.
With a speed of 71 km/h, they were caught by the camera. Fortunately, they don't have license plates, as that could be expensive. We wonder if the road might be downhill?
Birds have to pay fines too
Germany is known for adhering to all norms and rules, which is why even flying objects are asked to pay fines if caught speeding.
Hopefully, the bird hides first before getting caught for real. Going 45 km/h in a 30 km/h zone is not something a dove can get away with. This photo has surely brought laughter to many.
Wrong-Way Driver
We've already seen a toy car being captured. But what if it's a regular car... without a driver? This definitely involves some strange, eerie traffic hooligans.
It almost looks like a ghost was caught by the camera. Has technology advanced to the point where a car can be fully autonomous? We're definitely wondering what's going on here.
Even with a Bobbycar, you can get caught
Law enforcement officers must have been astonished at this image. On this photo, you can see a Bobbycar racing down the road at a whopping 140 km/h in a 120 km/h zone. How is that even possible?
In the past, it was fun riding a Bobbycar through a drive-thru, but now it's challenging the radar device. This will definitely result in a hefty fine, that's for sure.
Everyone has their own opinion
Most people get annoyed when caught by a speed camera. It can be an expensive affair. However, not everyone shares the same opinion when it comes to expensive photo shoots.
These candidates clearly show their feelings about speed control. It almost seems like something from a bachelor party. You wouldn't want to be the driver in this photo.
It doesn't get more romantic than this
Sometimes, one longs for romantic gestures from their partner. With a bit of creativity, the partner might come up with romantic things, like a marriage proposal captured in a speed camera photo.
Here, it could very well be that the beloved is issuing radar letters, otherwise the photo would make little sense. It's almost sweet and, of course, a bit quirky. I wonder if she said yes to the proposal?
The Buff Gauls
The district of Hameln seems to offer peculiar characters on motorcycles. However, they take it with humor and describe the incident on Instagram: "Is nothing sacred anymore? Even the plump Gauls aren't safe from speed cameras."
There's probably not only a fine for the speeding, but also for the helmet. One would probably not want to be in that apron. At least it brought a smile to their faces.
Thanks to the Bird!
You could almost think that it's a fast car in this photo. Then you realize that the bird doesn't actually cover the license plate, which makes you a little sad for the driver. But which driver?
If you look closely, you'll notice that the car isn't actually moving, but parked by the roadside. So, this speed camera photo was probably triggered by the bird itself. Maybe it was a dive-bombing maneuver?
The real heroes of the traffic world seem to be birds, who would have thought? Once again, a friendly flying creature sneaks into the speed camera photo and thus saves the driver of the car in the background.
Neither the driver nor the license plate can be properly identified, so no fine will be issued. We are starting to see a pattern here, maybe we should thank these lovely creatures?
Not many people are happy about speed camera photos - many fear them and really try to adhere to the speed limits. Other road users express their opinion in other ways, without being asked.
This motorcyclist either intentionally posed for the photo or has quick reflexes to brandish their weapons. However, riding a motorcycle without hands is not advisable.
Although this is not a speed camera photo, it may not have been possible anymore. This driver simply took the speed camera with them and thus avoided the speeding ticket.
Of course, there won't be no consequences, as the situation was still captured for eternity. To avoid ending up in a situation as bad as this photo, it's best to adhere to the speed limits and avoid dangerous accidents.
